Some good news from Numbers land. We’ll be hitting the studio this weekend with our trusty producer-to-the-stars, Andy Freeman, to record three new tunes: “1-2-3-4-5,” “Godzilla Girl,” and “Weight of the Sun.” We’re really psyched to put down some new tracks, and we’re hoping to have a new album together by the end of the year. In the meantime, you can hear these new numbers live next week at The Hotel Utah. Yep, we’ll be back on Thursday, February 2nd and we’re on first at 9pm. Come on out for some brand new power pop goodness!

Keep in mind that we won’t be playing any holiday numbers, but plenty of San Francisco’s finest power pop will be on tap and flowing freely.

And if you know The Wiggle, you LOVE The Wiggle. That’s just how it is.

Because of our love for San Francisco’s best bike route, we’ve written a theme song for The Wiggle. This catchy little number is crying out for video, so that’s exactly what we are going to do.

But we need your help.

Join the party on Sunday May 22, 2:00pm at Duboce Park (corner of Duboce and Steiner) to film a video for The Wiggle! We’ll start by filming a group shot at Duboce Park, then we’ll turn to the streets to capture what it’s like to ride The Wiggle with all of your closest friends.

We want all kinds of bikes to represent: cruisers, fixies, road bikes, party machines, double-deckers, triple-deckers, Trikeasauruses, pedicabs and whatever else you’ve got. Just ride on over, and bring as many friends as you can muster. Of course, this being a San Francisco bike party, if you want to dress in your bicycle best, we won’t stop you!

The San Francisco based Real Numbers had me with the MerryMakers-esque opening to their first track. At a little over twenty five minutes long the album delivers and leaves you wanting more. Much more.

If you like Jason Falkner you’ll be wanting this. It’s a great first album and does what it promises. Tuneful, happy power pop of the highest order.
